What’s happening in Myanmar
Better Burma is a US-based non-profit dedicated to advancing a free, peaceful and prosperous Burma by promoting democratic values and raising awareness about the ongoing crisis through our media platforms, offering emergency relief to vulnerable communities, and supporting sustainable community development programs.
Our Projects
Media
The Insight Myanmar Podcast and Blog is dedicated to informing people about the current situation. On our podcast, we talk to dozens of people connected to the struggle in longform interviews. On the blog, we provide regular news, updates, and opinion pieces.
Humanity
CDM, or the Civil Disobedience Movement, is one of the core activities of the nonviolent protest. As more and more civil servants refuse to go to work, the military regime is not able to properly run the country. However, as striking workers forfeit their salary, they need support for basic living costs. We provide fund delivery for donors who are willing to support CDM.
Charity
We provide dana, food and basic supplies to Communities that have been affected by this crisis. Many people are lacking essentials and have little means of getting these in the near future.
