For now, please read a little about the background and aims of this organization, and see the worthwhile goals that you have helped to support:
Burma Spring Revolution Front (BSRF) is a non-violent, anti-coup protest network which coordinates and organizes mass revolutionary movements across the country. BSRF is currently organized with a core team, main forces and front line members. The core team is made up of middle-aged activists, members of parliament, leaders of party youth wings, leaders of ethnic youth groups and other individual activists. They manage the activities’ implementation using a financial management structure, administrative system, operation plan and with technical personnel in place. Along with 10 core team members, over 50 members are dedicated to front line defence and security task forces for different townships in Yangon.
What are we currently doing?
Activity a) Logistical support to civic protestors and security task forces from different townships in Yangon. This includes the provision of safety gear, defence equipment, safe houses and medical coverage, amongst other necessary provisions.
Activity b) Financial, logistical and technical support to undercover community journalists in collaboration with Myanmar Pressphoto Agency, in order for them to report and disseminate news and information, and to collect data for verified fact-check references towards the judiciary and transitional justice process of fallen heroes and missing people. Through undercover Journalists, we create a path to collect scrapped and lost material related to the fallen, courageous protesters to create a pool of remembrance and memorial for social justice in the long-term.
Activity c) As our activities are interconnected, we receive verified fact-check information from community undercover journalists in order to provide one - off financial and food aid support to CDM participants, remaining family members of fallen heroes, injured protesters and people who live under severely affected areas across the country.
